Collaborationism Exhibit Reception Jan. 30

On Saturday, January 30 Yankton Area Arts will be hosting a reception and gallery talk for our current exhibition entitled “Collaborationism”. This exhibit features the works of USD Art Chair Cory Knedler and Sioux City Art Center Curator Shannon Sargent. The reception is open to the public and everyone is invited to take this opportunity to meet artists and visit with them about their work.
The doors open at 1:00pm with the gallery talk beginning shortly after; all ages are encouraged to attend. Viewers visiting the gallery during this exhibit are in for a rare treat with visually engaging and inventive mixed media works.
The G.A.R. Hall Art Gallery and Yankton Area Arts are located at 508 Douglas. The gallery is open to the public free of charge from 1 to 5 p.m. weekdays and from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturdays. For more information call 665-9745, email Pam@YanktonAreaArts.org or see www.YanktonAreaArts.org.
NNAA Soup R Arts Fundraiser

The Inaugural Soup ‘R Art fundraiser event will take place on Sunday, Janaury 31st at Divots Conference Center Ballroom, 4200 West Norfolk Ave, Norfolk 1:30Pm-6Pm.
From 1:30-2pm Sponsors and guests will meet artists one on one, browse the artwork & “buy it now” from the silent auction. At 2-6 you can enjoy various soups highlighting the culinary talens of Northeast Nebraska’s finest restaurants and misical entertainment throughout the event. The goal is to raise more than $5,000 to help sustain the Norfolk Arts Center’s mission.
Northeast Nebraska Art Association (NNAA) is an organization of about 40 members of various age & various media who meet each month on the 3rd Thursday of each month, generally at the Norfolk Arts Center, to share, encourage each other and learn various techniques & education in the arts.
